11 September....Prelude to Operation Little Mercury

Today we have started this huge operation ! General Ozgurnikov's battered brigade and some Romanian units are sent to rest in this quiet part of the sector. But who can say what will the next few days will bring.

Sov. Artillery fires off some harassment volleys in the start. Loosing rapidly some 300 ! rounds of light and heavy mortar rounds into possible concentration areas in the German front. Relatively accurate then expected these rounds demolish some house that populate the river.

First Blood...

In the third turn, despite the huge map, patrols find each other. The forested boundary area to the north of the river is a scene to a skirmish between recce platoons. Apprently Von Georg is also trying to find a protected way into my lines as well. Germans get the upper hand thanks to their automatics.
